Syracuse - The Heart of New York

Summer... Year after year, Central New York experiences four unique seasons, however it's easy to say that summertime is a favorite for many.

There's something special about a Syracuse summer that continues to excite locals and visitors, alike. If its not the endless weekends of fun-filled festivals, including Jazz Fest, Balloon Fest, the Taste of Syracuse and the Great New York State Fair – then it very well could be the mouth-watering CNY barbeque extravaganza, complete with salt potatoes, local corn on the cob, Hoffman hot dogs and many other unique CNY treats.

Syracuse summers sizzle with excitement. Splash and swim in any of the many local lakes; sing and dance at any of the fabulous musical performances; or explore any of the 50 state, county and city parks.

Shoot for your hole-in-one at any of Onondaga County's 40 golf courses or catch the homerun ball at a Syracuse Chiefs' game at Alliance Bank Stadium.

See the Batmobile, and meet TV's original Batman, Adam West, as he comes to town to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Syracuse Nationals, "the Largest Car Happening on the east coast."

If you're feeling extra adventurous, we recommend signing up for the Aflac Iron Girl Syracuse Women's Triathalon at Oneida Shores Park.

We're sure you'll see for yourself that Syracuse summers are full of splendid surprises, whether you're here on vacation, business or visiting family.

We're thrilled that you're here and welcome you to join the celebration of all that is summer in Syracuse.
